Mvuu Lodge

Mvuu Lodge is situated in a secluded location deep within the game rich Chaiwa Game Management area.  It is a half hour road trip to the Zambezi National Park, and it is situated opposite the World Heritage Site of Mana Pools. Indigenous bush surrounds the Lodge and wildlife roams freely through the camp.

Mvuu Lodge is predominantly a fishing lodge,  offering five star service to local and international clients from the beginning of March to the end of December.

Accommodation is in ethnically decorated tented chalets and seven camp sites. The Bemba and Tonga tents are all en suite, with two of the Bemba tents having baths as well. All the tents overlook the Zambezi River, enabling guests to have stunning views across the river.

One tent – Shaka – is situated in a quiet secluded spot, overlooking the river. This tent has its own deck and fire pit. Guests can enjoy private drinks, a braai or a picnic lunch can be arranged if total privacy is required. This tent is ideal for a honeymoon couple.

The three self-catering Tonga tented chalets each have an outside area for braais. For an optional extra a self-catering trunk containing crockery and cutlery for four people can be arranged.

The popular camp site has ablution facilities with hot and cold water. Two of the sites are situated right on the river. All camp sites are serviced daily, and staff can provide firewood and drinking water.

The Lodge offers 7 boats for hire for fishing or game viewing. Canoe safaris, game drives, bird walks, photographic safaris into the national park , river cruises and of course fishing trips are all offered.

The magnificent Zambezi River is undoubtedly a ‘bucket list’ destination and Mvuu Lodge would like to share this enchanting paradise with guests.
